(or 5 Fashionable Tech Products)

So you’re about to take a picture but your phone is dead because the internet was on for just one hour. Or you didn’t hear it ringing (again!) because it was buried deep inside your purse. Or you didn’t bring your memory stick cause it was supposed to be in you bag (but it’s not!), and you really, really need it. Or you want to check your pulse while jogging but don’t remember where to place your fingers (was it the wrist or the neck and what exactly do you need to count?!). You know the feeling huh? Well yes, technology can help, and just so you know – not all fashion tech products are necessary bulky and difficult to have on. And here’s how some regular fashionable accessories took a leap forward that can nowadays change your life for better.

  1. A ring that rings! Meet Ringly.

Ringly wanted to do something like turning a tomboy into a girly girl – to make technology more fashionable. And boy (or girl in this case!), they’ve done a swell job! Ringly is a simple ring, yet elegant and sophisticated, that discretely notifies you about calls, messages, emails, reminders and notifications on your phone. This ring shines through five different colors for five notification types and it is made of an 18-carat gold plated brass setting with semi-precious stones. There are various fashionable styles of Ringly, notifications are shown on the side of the ring, plus it is water resistant and yes, looks absolutely stunning. So if you don’t want to miss an important message but at the same time don’t want to be bothered by your phone, Ringly seems like a perfect little companion.

  1. A purse with a power! Presenting Everpurse.

You know the scenario – you forgot to charge your phone during the night and by 2 pm it’s almost dead (or even sooner). And you were just about to call someone or search for a street on Google maps. If only there was a charger near by just to put it on for five minutes, and maybe it will last long enough for that call (but you would love to get a chance to check at your emails too!). Well (mostly) ladies and (soon enough) gentlemen, the solution is here! Even better, Everpurse represents a practical way to keep your phone always (yep, always!) charged in your fast paced life. This fancy leather purse has a unique system integrated directly into your bag that charges phones wirelessly. It can charge your phone for up to 48 hours, and the purse itself is charged overnight on a simple mat – you just drop Everpurse over it and in the morning you’re good to go. So when you get up, just grab your chic purse that starts to charge your phone immediately and you don’t have to worry about battery life but go on with your own.

  1. a) James Bond doesn’t have the coolest watch anymore. Introducing Pebble.

You’ re a guy and you’ve just read about Ringly and think it such a drag you don’t wear a ring. Or you just have an android phone and you love the idea of a smart watch? Well, here’s the answer to your prayers! Pebble smart watch puts notifications on your wrist – so you can see texts, calls and emails but also control music while driving or running. Besides this, it’s water resistant, has battery life up to 7 days and it goes with a sleek look too! Yeah, sounds great but you’re not a big fan of watches? No worries, just read on!

  1. b) May we unveil smart bracelets – super cool body analyzers like FitbitUP by Jawbone and Atlas wearables.

So maybe you would prefer a bracelet that tracks your activity, that can of course tell time, but it’s not a watch (no, no!), because it shows something more interesting besides time. Something like how many steps you’ve made or recognise and counts your biceps curls or tell you how long and good did you sleep and that can wake you up quietly and smoothly… You can now choose what is important for you, because there are several smart bracelets out there. Fitbit for example, tracks steps, distance, calories, stairs climbed, active minutes, measures how long and well you slept, and has a silent wake up alarm. Similar to this, UP by Jawbone also tracks your activity, diet and sleep and suggest simple adjustments over time that lead to more rest and happier life. Atlas wearables on the other hand, is a little more fitness oriented and combines exercise motion database with advanced algorithms. It can identify your fitness activities, count your repetitions, track exercises and compare your form. So just choose your favorite (if you can), cause these cool wristbands can definitely make your life easier and more interesting.

4) A pair of binoculars that would change your point of view; yep, Goggle glasses.

You heard about Google glasses, but you don’t wear glasses, so why would you need them and what exactly they can do for you?! Well, when you put them on, you see options you have available: from taking photos by winking, through engaging in Google hangout and live streaming. And I can’t really number how many things they can do (and will soon be able to do!), but I can try: from “ordinary” things like taking pictures and videos, giving notifications, showing texts and emails, or showing maps and giving directions, to some really science-fiction ones like: screen sharing, dictating messages to your glasses, translating phrases or converting currencies (just by seeing them). And no, you don’t have to look like you’ve just stepped out of the Star tracks anymore! Google is designing more modish and stylish frames with supple look that can satisfy even the most demanding taste.

5) A necklace that stores your secrets (or a movie or two): Swarovski memory stick necklace.

Last but not the least, you always need your memory stick. And it can be handy if it’s somewhere where you don’t have to worry about bringing it with you, like classy looking keychain. Close enough, Swarovski put this funky accessory on a heart-shaped necklace embellished in 54 crystals. It stores your photos or music and it’s perfect for a night out! If you don’t wear chains, you can get a smooth looking ballpoint pen filled with 200 crystals that opens in the middle to reveal a USB key. Of course, there are various fashionable alternatives from other brands and similar products (like again, bracelets), so you can choose what best suits you.

So, until they find a way to transplant your computer into our brains and you can choose your appearance just by thinking about it, you can use these discrete fashionable items and track your progress, charge your phone, get notifications, but most important of all – look great while wearing them!
