{"id":1645,"date":"2016-02-03T12:29:25","date_gmt":"2016-02-03T11:29:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.actnocturnal.com\/?p=1645"},"modified":"2022-02-12T21:04:28","modified_gmt":"2022-02-12T20:04:28","slug":"e-citaci-reinkarnacija-knjige","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.anagord.com\/en\/e-citaci-reinkarnacija-knjige\/","title":{"rendered":"Book Reincarnation\u00a0&#8211; E-Readers"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>(<\/strong>or more about e-book readers and why are they better than\u00a0<em>normal<\/em>\u00a0books<strong>)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When it comes to reading\u00a0books on electronic device (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00I15SB16\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=B00I15SB16&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=actnoct-20&#038;linkId=UD2MPPGZ2DLSNFVI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">e-reader<\/a>), paperback\u00a0editions usually have poor defense:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; Nothing can replace paper and the &#8220;real&#8221; book!<br \/>\n&#8211; Nothing can\u00a0compare to the feeling of holding a book in your hand!<br \/>\n&#8211; It is very difficult to read on a computer!<br \/>\nAnd then the strangest, and usually the biggest argument is:<br \/>\n&#8211; How can I enjoy reading when I\u00a0cannot smell the book?!<br \/>\nAnd because\u00a0all of these reasons are completely well, ridiculous\u00a0when you think about them, today I want to explain why I think\u00a0e-readers\u00a0are so much better than\u00a0<em>normal<\/em>\u00a0books.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>E-PAPER<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; First of all, any device that can display text on the screen can work as a book reader. However, e-readers are designed primarily for reading books (and texts in general) because they have a special technology called\u00a0<em>electronic paper<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>electronic ink<\/em>. So even though every electronic device such as a tablet, computer or smartphone can be a book reader, only e-reader has\u00a0<em>electronic paper<\/em>\u00a0that, believe it or not, damage your\u00a0eyes less than a paper book. So there is\u00a0<strong>no radiation<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>it doesn&#8217;t hurt your eyes<\/strong>, on the contrary. You are actually\u00a0<em>reading<\/em>\u00a0the book, the contrast of paper and ink is the same as in an ordinary book, and the device does not emit heat when it&#8217;s in use. You just\u00a0sit and choose whatever you want to read today. Therefore the reader is phenomenal when\u00a0<strong>traveling<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; instead of occupying a place in your\u00a0suitcase and carry\u00a0several\u00a0<em>real<\/em>\u00a0books (thinking will you get them back to the library at time) you can simply put whatever you want to read in your device. And the best of all &#8211;\u00a0<strong>you don&#8217;t have to wait<\/strong>\u00a0to get\u00a0the next part of the book to find out what will happen in the next sequel of\u00a0<em>Game of Thrones<\/em>. Or\u00a0<em>Harry Potter<\/em>. Or\u00a0<em>Millennium<\/em>. You simply open the second part of the book on your e-reader &#8211; and keep on reading! Any device that has an LCD screen has a week spot with low battery life\u00a0(eg. smartphone\u00a0or tablet). On the other hand, e-readers are designed\u00a0only for reading books, so\u00a0they say that the battery can last until you read one book (about a month). Although, this is not true. Battery life on my\u00a0<em>Kindle<\/em>\u00a0lasted\u00a0<strong>up to 3 months<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>E-TEXT<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Also, on the display of the\u00a0e-reader\u00a0you can\u00a0set the contrast, backlight, font size, spacing (meaning no dense print) and\u00a0it can\u00a0display text vertically or horizontally. In the main menu you see all of your books and you can easily create folders with books by topic or interest (eg. fantasy, thrillers etc.). Turning pages is very easy and buttons are\u00a0suitable for right and left handed. In addition to this, you always have the option to buy exactly what you want on the reader, without any applications that you do not want\u00a0and will never\u00a0use.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>TYPES OF E-READERS<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; As for the brands,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00IKPYKWG\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=B00IKPYKWG&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=actnoct-20&#038;linkId=J7G4M4FWP7M66TZ6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amazon&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Kindle<\/em><\/a>\u00a0is\u00a0definitely in the lead but\u00a0any other version of an\u00a0electronic reader works on the same principle. For\u00a0plain reading, first two versions are better, but\u00a0color reader has its advantages (for example, you can\u00a0play videos). You sit back and look\u00a0what you want to read and within 2 minutes (or less), you have the desired book in your\u00a0hands. Without going out. Without getting up from the couch. No matter what time it is and whether it is a weekend or holiday. And no matter in which part of the world you are currently. If you want to read some other type of text, each .doc, .pdf (or similar) format can be easily converted to a range of electronic formats that your browser supports and then transferred directly to the reader.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>E-BOOK PRICES<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Maybe the best thing in the whole story about\u00a0e-reader\u00a0is the fact that electronic books are\u00a0<strong>always cheaper<\/strong>\u00a0than the classic paperback because there are\u00a0no printing costs. Therefore you are not harming mother Earth with logging. If the price of a few dollars is still big for you, you can always borrow a book from other users for 14 days. And just\u00a0on <em>Amazon<\/em> you can choose from millions of books that generally cost less than 10 $. In addition to that, there are 2 million books which are copyright free so they\u00a0can be read for free (or at a price of up to 3 $). If you accidentally lose or\u00a0delete a book, <em>Amazon<\/em> keeps your purchased and all other converted books in your account. With\u00a0all this, in most cases\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B011HC6PRQ\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=B011HC6PRQ&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=actnoct-20&#038;linkId=XXN5C7VWTFJEQDFT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">you can read for free the first few initial pages or chapters of the book<\/a>\u00a0and decide if you want to buy and then continue to read right where you left!
