It’s Always Tea Time!

(or where do I find great cool gifts for every occasion)

I have to admit that this is a gift shop that my good friend owns, but that does not diminish its awesomeness! This mini gallery is called Srecica and it is located in Borca district, and since it is not very close to the city centre the prices are more than reasonable! When you enter, you just do not know where to look and what to touch or smell – there is an incredible selection of really great things for every occasion. 

Details made out of glass, wood and ceramic and warm colorful atmosphere where every corner is tastefully furnished (and quite filled!). And it is not because they are my close friends, but Marina and her mom Dusica are really wonderful people who are the kindest in the world! In Srecica you can find all kinds of lamps in unusual forms, original images that are purchased from local artists, beautiful cheerful figurines, colorful mugs, handmade clocks, aprons with silly descriptions that they design and make themselves and many, many little things that make everyday life more beautiful. In addition to these “usual things”, Srecica also has some very unusual articles like the phone in a form of a hamburger or lips, jewelry holder shaped as sofa and soaps that you are not sure weather they are cupcakes or not because they look so similar to real ones in appearance and smell.

What I personally love the most about Srecica, is that at the time of holidays, this little shop is completely transformed – for the New Years it becomes a wonderland of Santa Clause with a huge lighted reindeer who is waiting for you in front of the door, at Easter time the place is full of Easter bunnies and chickens, for Valentine’s gallery becomes all red and full of all kinds of hearts that cheer up even the ones that are currently on their own.

p.s. If you are entering the shop for the first time, you may find that you have found a time hole, because you will spend hours looking around the shop, and will not know where those hours went 🙂
